What does the process look like?

Sunnyside, being a new brand, had no pre-existing template for the look and feel of their products. This was exciting because it gave us a lot of creative freedom but on the other hand, we had to build our own standards from scratch. After creating a set of different stylescapes, I worked with the Sunnyside team to pick a direction for the packaging design standards.

In the end, we chose a direction that was fun, welcoming, and modern to capture the exciting and innovative nature of the Sunnyside team.

After dozens of drafts for each product, we were happy with the result; a set of products that are both colorful and eye-catching to stand out in such a competitive field, but at the same time consistent and grounded to convey the calming and healing qualities of CBD. In the front of every product you will find a large tree icon accompanied with “This Product Plants Trees”, which highlights their commitment to help the planet through their reforestation initiatives.
